Bákayan

Born in the early 90s and raised in the countryside of southern Germany, Burak, aka Bákayan, taught himself guitar as a child and soon found his voice singing and writing songs. His Turkish roots run through a sound that is entirely his own.

Time in Berlin broadened his creativity, and he began weaving his vocals and acoustic elements into electronic productions across organic house, melodic, afro and indie dance. Since his first record "Umut Var" in 2021, he has released on A Tribe Called Kotori, Kindisch, Stil vor Talent and Get Physical, with support from Oliver Koletzki and Black Coffee. He also runs ALA BØRA, his Berlin label and event series.
