Hrag Mikkel
Beirut, LebanonBehind the booth or in the studio, Hrag Mikkel sees himself first as a storyteller. Electronic music entered his life as a teenage bassist in a rock band, and at 14 his father took him to his first electronic music event in Beirut, where he heard John Digweed.
A self-taught producer, he describes his sound as equal parts groovy, trippy and dreamy. His first release "Tab Leh" on Pipe & Pochet earned him a residency at The Garten in Beirut alongside Dubfire, Bedouin and Satori, and he has since released on Hoomidaas and Kindisch, with his music played by Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sébastien Léger.
