Berlin-based producer Bonfante makes electronic music that lives in the physical world. You can hear the knobs being turned, the room in the signal, the weight of analog decisions made in real time. Her releases on 3000Grad, A Tribe Called Kotori and Serafin Imprint, and appearances on Dixon's ID Tracklist, Electronic Rising, Kompakt and Stil vor Talent Selection, have established her as a producer with a sound that is immediately recognisable and impossible to rush. She has played Fusion, Sisyphos, Kater Blau, Wilde Möhre and Ritter Butzke, always bass-driven, always melodic, always built to move from beginning to end.
"Open The Door For Me" carries a fleeting vocal moment, the title phrase, half-whispered, there and gone, over something that feels both urgent and warm. "Factorium" is its own thing entirely, intense where it needs to be and generous enough to let those moments breathe.
On remix duties, Bergamo-born, Berlin-based CIOZ delivers a banger that does not feel like a banger. Slowly evolving, emotionally precise, built with the playful intelligence that has defined his work on Stil vor Talent, Crosstown Rebels, Monaberry and Get Physical.
We are very happy to welcome both of these talented artists to Marginalia.
Factorium EP is out August 5th on Marginalia
