Xinobi

Xinobi grew up in the music-blog generation and its do-it-yourself ethic. With Moullinex and Mr. Mitsuhirato he founded Discotexas, and he has released on Anjunadeep, Cercle, Frau Blau, MoBlack, Radiant and Ministry of Sound, along with remixes and reworks for Joris Voorn, Nicolas Jaar, Toro Y Moi, Agnes Obel and John Grant.

His debut album 1975 mixed Morricone-style soundtracks, dub, surf guitar, deep house, disco and acid with a pop sensibility. His second, On the Quiet, led by "Far Away Place" with Vaarwell, told the story of electronic musicians moving from punk rock and skateboarding into house, with guests including Ian MacKaye of Fugazi.
